For best results, please use the following web browsers for desktops and laptops:

    Firefox Quantum: version 60.0.2 (64-bit)

    Google Chrome: version 67.0.3396.87 (64-bit)

    Microsoft Edge: version 41.16299.492.0 (64-bit)

    Safari: version 11.0.3 (12604.5.6.1.1)

    Internet Explorer: version 11+.


For Apple iPads and macOS:

    Safari: version 11


Although not recommend, you can also view the website from your smartphones.


Create Exceptions to Pop-up Blocker

By default, most web browsers turn on the pop-up blockers. To use this tool, however, you need to allow pop-ups for this website. Create an exception to your pop-up blocker settings by following the instructions below for the appropriate web browser you're using.

Internet Explorer

  1. Open Internet Explorer
  2. Click the tools icon at the upper-right corner of the screen and select "Internet Options"
  3. Select the "Privacy" tab and click the "Settings" button under the Pop-up Blocker section.
  4. Type-in the URL of this website: https://realtimeceap.brc.tamus.edu and click the "Add" button.
  5. Click the "Close" button, then the "OK" button.

Microsoft Edge

Microsoft Edge does not provide an option to create pop-up blocker exceptions. You need to simply turn off this feature to allow the website to use pop-ups.

  1. Click the three-dot menu at the top-right of the screen.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom and select "Settings."
  3. In "Settings" panel, click "View advanced settings" button.
  4. At the top portion of the "Advanced settings" panel, slide the "Block pop-ups" slider button to the left to turn it off.
  5. Click anywhere on the web page to close the "Settings" panel.

Google Chrome

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Click the three-dot menu at the upper-right corner of the screen and select "Settings".
  3. In the settings page, click the Main Menu icon at the top-left of the page.
  4. Expand the "Advanced" menu item and select "Privacy and security."
  5. In the "Privacy and Security" panel, scroll down to "Content settings" and click it.
  6. In the "Content settings" panel, click the "Pop-ups and redirects" option.
  7. Under the "Allow" heading, click the "Add" button.
  8. Type this website's URL: https://realtimeceap.brc.tamus.edu then click the "Add" button.
  9. Close the "Settings" web page.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Click the menu icon at the top-right corner of the screen and select the "Options" item.
  2. In the "Options" page, select "Privacy and Security".
  3. Scroll down to "Permissions" section and click the "Exceptions..." button beside the "Block pop-up windows" item.
  4. In the "Allowed Websites-Pop-ups" dialog box, type-in this website's URL: https://realtimeceap.brc.tamus.edu and click the "Allow" button.
  5. Click "Save Changes" to close the dialog box.
  6. Close the "Options" window.

Safari for iPad iOS 12.0.1

Safari for this version of iPad does not provide an option to create pop-up blocker exceptions. Thus, you need to simply turn off this feature.

  1. Click the "Settings" icon.
  2. Select "Safari" from the left panel.
  3. Locate the "Pop-up" slider button, and slide it to the left to turn it off.
  4. Close the "Settings" panel.

Safari for macOS

As in Safari for iPads, Safari for laptops does not provide an option to create pop-up blocker exceptions. To turn off the pop-blocker, follow the instructions below.

  1. Open Safari.
  2. From the top menu, select "Safari" and click "Preferences..."
  3. Select the "Security" tab and uncheck the "Block pop-up windows" checkbox.
  4. Close the "Preferences" window.
  5. Quit Safari.

Clearing Web Browser Data and Cache

A browser holds your browsing history indefinitely. Since data used for this website varies daily, it is sometimes necessary to clear the data that a web browser stores in memory. Follow the instructions below for clearing the cached data.

Internet Explorer

  1. Go to the gear icon at the upper left and select "Internet Options."
  2. On the "General" tab, you can either check the box next to "Delete browsing history on exit", or click the "Delete" button to instantly get rid of history, passwords, cookies, cached data (these are temporary Internet files and website files), and more. If you instead click "Settings", you go to a "History" tab and ensure your history is only collected for a specific number of days, automatically deleting anything older.
  3. You have the option to delete your browsing history using the "Favorites Menu". Click the star on the top-right and select the "History" tab.
  4. Right-click to delete everything from a specific time period, or click to view and delete specific websites.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Go to the three-dot menu and select "Settings."
  2. Click the "Choose what to clear" button under "Clear browsing data."
  3. Check the options you want to clear and click the "Clear" button.
  4. Click anywhere in the web page to close the "Settings" panel.

Google Chrome

Chrome does not give you the option to not collect your browser history, or set a a limit for how much it should hold. It simply collects everything until you go in and delete it.

  1. In the omnibar, type "chrome://settings/clearBrowserData" without the quotation marks. This takes you directly to the dialog box to delete not only the history of your browsing, but also your download history (this won't delete the actual downloaded files), all your cookies, cached images and files, saved passwords and more. Also, you can delete only the infor from the last hour, day, week, month, or all of it to "the beginning of time."
  2. If you do not want to use the preceding method, go to the three-dot menu and select "More tools..." option.
  3. Select "Clear browsing data..."
  4. This takes you to the dialog box for deleting your history, cached data, and more. Click the "Clear data" button to delete.
  5. Close the "Settings" page.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Go to the menu icon and select "Options."
  2. Select "Privacy and Security" option. This shows you options to clear your history, cookies, and website cached data.
  3. Click the "Clear History..." button and/or "Clear Data..." button.
  4. Close the "Options" page.

Safari for iPads

  1. Click the "Settings" icon.
  2. Select Safari from the left-side panel.
  3. Click the "Clear History and Website Data" button.

Safari for macOS

  1. Open Safari.
  2. From the Safari menu, select "Clear History..."
  3. In the pop-up, select a timeframe for how far back you want to clear. This not only deletes your browser history, it also takes out your cookies and data cache.
  4. Quit Safari.
